Nevis Cycles started in the 1980s in a shed and barn operated by Neil Parrish. In 2001 John and Maggie Thompson opened the Inverlochy branch. Andy Slater joined as shop manager in 2008. In 2010 John and Maggie took partial retirement and their son Ben Thompson took on the business. Since then Emma Holgate and John MacEachean have joined as co-owners. The number of staff has expanded to 12.

They offer bikes and accessories that they would be happy riding or wearing. Almost all the staff are qualified mechanics to Cytech 2 at least. They have been ranked in the top 10 of the UK cycle trade for our mechanics' expertise.

They aim to offer honest repairs at fair prices and will never present a customer with an unexpectedly high repair bill.

Nevis Range - Ski Hire

Ski’s, Snowboard, Boots, Poles, Helmets & Clothing can all be hire from our on site Ski Hire. Hats & Gloves can be purchased at the Nevisport shop at the gondola top station.

Reserve online before 4pm the day before and your equipment will be held until 10am, or arrive early at weekends and holidays to avoid the queues.

RiverToSea Scotland - Canoe and Kayak Hire

At River to Sea Scotland, they have a fleet of canoes and sea kayaks available for hire, with all the associated kit.

They will help you with your planning so that you can make the most of your time on the water. Talk to them about your ideas and we will help you create an itinerary that meets your needs.

As they want you to make the most of your adventure time, they will take care of the logistics.

For single day hire, let them know where you are staying and what your previous paddling experience is and they will share the best local paddling venues for you to choose from.

For multi-day hires, let them know where you are planning to go, or pick their brains for their recommendations.

They will meet you at your start location with all your hired kit, and pick it up at the journey’s end, eager to hear your adventure stories.
